ALL BD works for Sanitation Marketing which is an emerging field that applies social and commercial marketing approaches to scale up the supply and demand for improved sanitation research facilities. The core work area is to understand what products the target population desires and what price they’re willing to pay for them, components such as the marketing mix, communications campaign, and implementation are also critical to the design and implementation of effective sanitation program.
As long as people have been living in settlements and residential areas, garbage or solid waste has been an issue. ALL BD contributes to the action research about how solid waste can be changed and used as a valuable resource. Solid Waste Management refers to the process of collecting and treating solid wastes. It also offers solutions for recycling items that do not belong to garbage or trash.
ALL BD also offers sanitation research services on Fecal Sludge Management (FSM) that includes collection, transport, and treatment of fecal sludge from pit latrines, septic tanks or other onsite sanitation systems.
ALL BD also advocates Hygiene Promotion programs which are planned, systematic approach to enable people to take action to prevent and/or mitigate water, sanitation and hygiene-related diseases. It can also provide a practical way to facilitate community participation, accountability and monitoring.
